Jessica Banks is the founder of Everstead Tax Consulting and a seasoned tax professional with over 15 years of experience in federal tax law and compliance. At Everstead, Jessica offers strategic guidance on clean energy incentives, tax preparation, and business planning. Her approach emphasizes accuracy, transparency, and personalized support, helping clients navigate complex tax matters with confidence and clarity.
During her tenure with the IRS, Jessica served as a Tax Law Specialist in the Large Business & International Division, where she played a central role in implementing and interpreting key provisions under the Inflation Reduction Act. The key areas of focus were Sections 6417 & 6418, particularly with the pre-filing registration.
Known for her technical expertise and practical insight, Jessica led national training initiatives, developed guidance used by IRS employees across the country, and created tools that streamlined systems. She was selected as a subject matter expert for high-impact projects and served as a liaison between the IRS and other divisions shaping clean energy policy and implementation.
